I added index card backing to my photos. Hopefully, these will survive their transcontinental or transpacific journeys. :D This photo also has notes, so click, click.

These are all ready for mailing, which I just did. I wish I was able to photograph the stamps because those were also pretty. :D
I just realized that a by-product of doing this 101/1001 project is my renewed energy to take pictures, upload and post online. Yay.

GOLLY, the things you do in your free time. you need to teach me how to get a fun, fun, fun hobby aside from thinking about stress. we need to have a get together for artwork!

deal? i hope so. ha, demanding. lol

free time. that i have. i love it.

yep, another get-together is in order. i don't do a whole lot of art because i'm not that craft-y. but if you have something you're working on and need my help, let me know. :D

This is such a neat idea. This will encourage me to take photos as well. galing! galing!

ate rai: because i'm cheap and didn't want to buy postcards or buy those ready-made backing, i was looking for a way to send my own photos as postcards. after searching for ideas online, i found out that pictures can be sent even without backing. just write on the back like you would on a regular postcard. assa! hehe. now, i wonder how my postcards would look like when they reach their recipients. hopefully they will all survive it.

but wont it smear without the backing? the back of photos are pretty slippery. I think they will be less bent if they had backing. I would actually prefer photos to postcards coz a lot of them are so generic already. something one of a kind is better.

Even with the backing, the photos were kinda bent. So I just put them underneath all my bio books overnight to straighten them out.

I'm worried if the photo itself would smear or run or something because there is really no protective coating on the actual photo side. I'll have to see from the reactions of the recipients. hehe.

I might try printing the photos as postcards either at Walgreens or Moo (through Flickr). But they're about 99 cents a pop. o_O

I wonder how long it's going to take till they arrive. Let me know, OK?

Wow! ...these look great! So, tell me about Alaska. :P Where'd you get him?

hi Kim! Alaska was a present from my cousin, who lives in Anchorage, Alaska.

We used to have dogs while living in the Philippines, and when I came to the US, I thought I'd love to have Huskies or Alaskan Malamutes as pets. Well, I am not getting a dog in the near future, so Alaska will just have to be my pet for now. The best thing about him is he can come along wherever I go. :D

Thanks for the postcard! Its really nice to get something from the mail in this age of emails and texts. I got it on Friday and it was in mint condition. Thanks again!
